Aileen Johnson is a passionate writer, gifted speaker, and tireless advocate.

This is Aileen. Her smile is her superpower. Clearly.

Aileen’s artist statement:

“I’m passionate about creating stories where BIPOC and queer youth are choosing dignity over despair, optimism over oppression, and agency over anguish. Authentic stories. Stories with humor and heart. Stories that tell the full truth of who they are and who they can be. Stories that give them space to explore the questions we humans grapple with on our separate and collective journeys. I want my words to offer recognition and sanctuary, to inspire and create authentic young activists, and yes-to deliver delight and joy!”
